Autonomous Agents at Work
See how AI agents are transforming tasks, decisions, and daily operations.

We surveyed 500 enterprise teams about their AI investments. Here is what the data says about what is actually delivering results.
Enterprise AI investment reached record levels in 2024. But more money does not always mean more results. We surveyed 500 enterprise teams across 12 industries to find out which AI investments are generating real ROI — and which ones are quietly collecting dust.
What is not working
The biggest disappointments were general-purpose AI assistants deployed without a clear use case, AI tools that required significant engineering resources to maintain, and platforms that could not integrate with existing workflows. Eighty-one percent of teams that reported poor AI ROI cited integration complexity as the primary barrier.
What is actually working
The clearest winners are process automation, AI-assisted customer support, and predictive analytics. Teams that deployed AI in these three areas reported an average 52% reduction in manual work and a 34% improvement in decision speed. The common thread is specificity — these tools were deployed for a defined use case, not as a general-purpose solution.
What separates the leaders from the laggards?
The enterprises seeing the highest AI ROI share three characteristics. They started with a specific, measurable problem rather than a broad AI initiative. They chose platforms that connected to their existing stack without custom development. And they measured outcomes weekly rather than waiting for quarterly reviews to assess performance.
What to do in 2026?
The AI leaders of 2026 will not be the ones who spent the most. They will be the ones who deployed the most thoughtfully. Focus on three things: pick one high-volume workflow to automate first, choose a platform that integrates with your current tools, and measure the time saved in week one.
The gap between AI leaders and AI laggards is growing. But it is not too late to close it. The teams that move with intention in 2025 will look back at this moment as the turning point that defined the next decade of their business.
